- Prepare nutritious meals, provide
companionship during mealtime and clean up at the completion
of the meal
- Shop for and cook foods that follow
dietary requirements
- Follow a physician and/or dietician
requirements for providing balanced and appealing meals
for elders with high blood pressure and heart problems,
diabetes, liver and kidney problems
- Use strategies to overcome the negative
impact of medications on the taste of food
- Balance the correct amounts of liquid
and solid food with each meal
- Insure that our senior clients are
properly hydrated by offering them water at appropriate
times throughout the day
The meal planning process may be
driven by specific diets provided by a physician or dietician
to support a specific client illness as well the personal
preferences of our elderly clients. Our caregivers are
instructed to use fresh ingredients that tap the basic
food groups.
